Transport of fluids may require containment provisions, may require DOT placards, may require manifesting based upon the hazard determination. Ensure that approval is specifically for waste under ADEC jurisdiction. On–Water Vessel Decon: Procedures, including the identification of proposed surfactants, booming configurations, recovery and management of removed oil, must be provided.

Oil/water and liquid waste collected from recovery operations will be pumped into portable tanks and transported by vessel to the interim waste storage barge or facility and pumped directly into ISO tanks, liquid totes, 55-gallon drums, bladders, approved storage tanks, vessel & barge tanks or Fastanks. Secondary containment may be required for drum interim storage, bladders, totes or gondolas. |
Transport to waste disposal/recycling facility. Incineration at an approved facility. Permitting requirements are based upon the oil type. Reuse or recycle. |
