Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic

Wildlife Rehab Units

Function

SEAPRO has 2 mobile wildlife "containers" which are standard 40' containers that have been customized to meet the needs of wildlife response in SE Alaska. The containers are positioned for rapid response and can be loaded onto a barge or ferry for transport to wherever they are needed.

The container in Ketchikan is designed for medical stabilization of oiled wildlife, containing equipment and supplies to medically stabilize and prepare wildlife for transport to a location where they can be successfully rehabilitated and released.

The Sitka based container is designed and equipped to clean oiled wildlife in the field before transporting them for further treatment. The module is kept at the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka, Alaska.
