Foilex TDS-250 Skimming System

Foilex TDS-250 Skimming System

Function

The Foilex skimming system is designed for clean up of harbors, coastal and offshore spills.

The heart of the TDS Skimmer is the hydraulically driven onboard TDS Skimmer Pump which is fitted in a 3-pontoon flotation frame flow controlled, self-adjusting skimming ring. The TDS skimmer is powered and controlled by a Foilex diesel driven hydraulic power pack via the hydraulic hoses. The hose package consists of hydraulic and discharge hoses stored on Foilex hose reel. Recovered oil is pumped from the Skimmer up to the available collecting tank through the discharge hose. The hoses are kept together and floating with inflatable floats.

The system can be deployed from a vessel or barge with enough deck space to support the skimming equipment and the oil/water seperator footprint. The system will also require the use of a second vessel to handle deployment and operation of the containment boom for recovery operations.
