The RBS Triton 35 skimmer relies on adhesion of oil to the surface of a rotating Brush, Drum or Disc. As the Brush/Drum or disc rotates through the oil/water surface, the oil adheres to the Brush/Drum or Disc and removed by a scraper. The product is collected in a sump and pumped away.
The RBS skimmer can be used in a calm water environment where advancing water is no greater than .5 knots. The system includes a HPU and transfer pump.
